funny you guys were talking about erotic gardening again. i just started reading a book by german ethnobiologist Wolf Dieter-Storl about the ‘spiritual dimension of plants’ and he writes quite a lot about herbal aphrodisiacs and ancient pagan rites and rituals involving orgies among and/or with plants.. i’ll be sure to let you guys know if i find anything particularly noteworthy!
No Scots, in your line as far as I’ve gone yet, Pete – you do have some Welsh ancestry, though and could probably play rugby for Wales[if you could play rugby] Also, some interesting geologist types on Dad’s side……….
I didn’t find it all all interesting till I realised that there was a whole social history that I hadn’t heard anything about. If you ever decide that you might be interested, don’t reinvent the wheel, i’ll set you off ;)
