What’s happening down on the farm? Well, it turns out that last week’s baby elephants give a harvest of circus peanuts when they mature after 4 days – which is not only nuts (ha ha!) but a little disappointing when we could have been using the elephant dung to make paper or grow roses. Although you get quite a lot of coins from selling your peanuts, you also get a lot of coins from selling your baby elephants, and I should think their population will be much reduced over the next few days because of the amount of space they take up.

The latest innovation is the introduction of Crop Mastery levels. As you harvest each square of a crop you receive on mastery point for that crop (on top of its coin value). When you look at the crops in the Market you can see a progress bar that shows you how many mastery points you need to achieve the next Crop Mastery Level for that crop, plus how many in total you need to get each level – of which there are three for each crop.

Gaining a crop mastery level is a slow process, as you’ll need to harvest several hundred squares for each crop (generally, the shorter the harvest time the more squares you’ll need to harvest to achieve the level).

When you achieve a level you’ll get a bonus, but if you post your achievement to your news feed then your neighbors will get a few coins too – and if you keep an eye on your newsfeed you can benefit from other people’s success, just like you can with the Ribbons.
