Comment policy

Comments are accepted on selected article. In order to leave a comment, you need to prove you’re at least partially human and mostly real. With that in mind, please use a valid email address. It would also be nice to know your real name, though if you prefer an online nickname that’s also fine. Posting a comment does not guarantee publication and your comment may be edited or removed at a later date. Blatant SEO keyword text is not acceptable and your comment will be removed, so don’t waste your time. Be relevant, be considerate, be opinionated. And don’t be an idiot, or we’ll just point and laugh. When you post a comment here, you are responsible for your own posts. By posting your comment, you are granting this site a perpetual licence to reproduce your comment with appropriate attribution. External third party sites may reproduce your comments without permission, this is beyond our control – if this is an issue, please take it up with the appropriate site administrator. Article comments are not syndicated in RSS or Atom feeds. A number of measures are taken to reduce the volume of junk/spam comments. One of these is the requirement for the comment author to preview their comment prior to submitting it. This is an intentional design decision and we’re grateful for your understanding.

About Emma

Emma is a garden geek, and knows a frightening amount about plants. Only the edible and useful ones, though, so please don’t ask her about shrubs because she won’t know the answer. She spends a lot of time pottering around in the garden, planting things, harvesting things and looking after the chickens. When she’s indoors she has a tendency to buy too many seeds and books about gardening. If you’ve lost her, try looking behind the pile of Unread Books.

Emma’s day job is as a writer. She writes about the garden and records her own gardening show (without Pete) and she’s even written a book. But you can’t buy it yet because it’s not quite ready.

About Pete

Pete is the nerd of the partnership. It’s a good arrangement, and works well…most of the time. Pete’s in his thirties and no longer works for ‘the man’, choosing to start a business and live life a little more day-to-day than paycheck-to-paycheck.

Pete has a podcast that doesn’t include Emma. It’s called Bleepshow and it’s full of plinky plunky electronic music. It makes people smile and dance around the room. Go on, give it a try, you might like it. Dancing is optional.

About

Emma and Pete are a couple of folks from near Oxford in the UK. They don’t really like talking about themselves in the third person, as they think it’s a bit pompous for them. So, they don’t.

This site is going to be the hub for all things Emma and Pete; until then, check out the links on the right and mooch some stuff.
